Sometimes Image Really Is Everything

Lakeview Hospital uses Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS), an innovative system that speeds up the process of the picture archiving process, so by the time you get home, your images have already been captured, often times read, and sent to your referring physician.

PACS also allows the radiology department to manage patient images electronically, allowing images to be available when physicians need them, on every floor in the hospital, and from physician offices. Approved radiology reports will are linked to the images, so the radiologists’ interpretation (reading) is available every time an exam is viewed.

The Latest MRI Technology

GE 1.5 Tesla 8-channel
MRI Scanner with Excite High Definition

  • Magnetic field strength two to five times greater than what is offered locally.
  • Increased field strength means increased detail and quality.

The Latest CT Scanner Technology

We offer two cutting edge CT scanners. The GE LightSpeed 16 slice and 64 Slice Optima CT Scanners has greater speed and new capabilities in multi-slice technology.

  • Better cross sectional displays and 3D images
  • Improved resolution, detail, and image quality
  • Angiography/vascular studies
  • Cardiac and coronary vessel analysis

Lakeview‘s Imaging Department is a Fully Digital Radiology (DR) department.

The benefits of Digital Radiography: Faster scanning, increased patient throughput, and better image quality always seem to come up in the conversation, but there’s also a lot more that can be gained from upgrading. The acquisition speed offered by DR allows off-site doctors the ability to read images almost instantaneously after they are captured. This provides faster diagnosis, response time, and better patient service.

Earlier Detection of Breast Cancer

Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful offers Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) technology that enables earlier detection of tumors invisible on a mammogram for women with dense breasts. Lakeview has joined other Utah hospitals in using 3-D Breast imaging technology, known as tomography, but Lakeview is the only Salt Lake and Northern Utah area hospital to acquire and offer both of these state-of-the-art systems. Call to schedule yours now (801) 299-2141.

Our CT department was designed with you on our mind. We offer an expanded schedule, with operating hours from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm with 24/7 staffing for emergency studies.
